Kabous
She lay asleep inside my hand. Dreams flitted just beneathe her eyelids. Her breathing was slow and deep - like the Ocean on a quiet, starless night. Inside her mind, a single idea, as solitary as the moon: A thought. A face. A dream...
I cradled her head, and softly, smoothed away the tensions. I brushed her ears, and stroked her jaw, and kissed her on her silken brow. Her nose was wet against my cheek, and she burrowed her head deeper into my palms.
Beside me, I felt her body jump - high over fences, over hedges and rocks. I saw her paws scrabble along a hot pavement, and sink into the flower-strewn grass of a field.
Then her nose twitched, and a passing Butterfly kissed her gently with its wing...
